Here is my Story:
I've been overweight for a good part of my life. I can remember as a child being taken to the “Diet Doctor” and getting shots and pills when I was about 12 years old. I have gone through hypnosis, shock therapy, weight watchers, Jenny Craig, Lindora and Nutrisystem. If it was out there - I have probably tried it.

I was really good at losing weight, but the problem was keeping it off. In July 2012, I slipped and fell in the bathroom. I caught myself and thought I was okay, but when we left for a road trip with the Grandkids the next day, I had obviously done something to injure my hip. By the end of the trip, I could not walk. I ended up having to go to the chiropractor and that’s when I met Dr. Jay Dvorsky.
Dr. Dvorsky worked on me for a few weeks and I was able to dance at my son’s wedding. He continued to treat me and then one day he mentioned that if I didn’t lose weight, my hip would continue to act up. A few months later, we agreed that I should start studying nutrition from him. This health challenge started a over year ago and currently I have lost almost 80 pounds.
Dr. Jay (as his patients call him) was there every step of the way; on good weeks, great weeks and even on weeks when nothing happened. Where most people focus on watching the scale, he was more concerned about the lean muscle I was building rather than the actual weight I lost.
On August 14, 2013, I started to go to a gym. I had never been inside of a gym. It was SO intimidating. I was scared to death. Dr. Jay had his office manager take me step by step through what was going to happen including where to park and what to wear. I ended up working out two to three times a week. I eventually changed gyms and now I belong to Gold’s Gym in Venice where the big muscle guys train. I have two trainers that I use on different days and now I train 6 days a week. My favorite workout is using heavy weights - great fun.
I am also the CEO/Owner of Tax Pro Plus LA. When the the area above my tax offices became available, I decided to install a gym. Most importantly, I wanted it to be a friendly and relaxed environment, where no one would feel intimidated. There are no locker rooms, only private bathrooms. This is a boutique gym offering One-on-One services and privacy will be our trademark. We will have personal trainers, custom consults with chiropractors and also nutritionists. (Seriously, no boxed meals and you get to eat real food over 6 times a day!) You will receive approachable guidelines so that WE can help YOU make this a way of life.
